8 months old & has the attitude to go with the age!
He's a steady 295 grams. I would like him, particularly at this age to be heavier. They're not supposed to weigh less than 320 minimum. But he's been like this since I've had him, doesn't lose weight & is not ill, so perhaps he's just gonna be small all his life. Possible stunted growth as a chick, that's the most obvious thing. The rearer I bought him off used 'home made' formula & never weighed him, she didn't believe in such things & stated she could tell the weight by holding the chicks & said he was heavy & healthy....she was obviously wrong & being very new to ekkies myself, I was none the wiser.
He's still a clown

Eddie is 9 1/2 months old. still a steady 295 grams. A little under weight but he seems healthy enough. I don't think at this stage he'll get heavier. It's likely he'll stay at 295 now.
He wolf whistles. He's REALLY getting into the imitating things out of the blue. It's funny to hear sometimes. I put him in front of the mirror once in a while & he's so fascinated by his reflection. He really loves to preen me & Dave LOL. He's never on our shoulder without preening us!
He's fallen back onto the seed too & even gone as far as being so desperate for more seed he'll head to Crickets cage & eat his, so, Cricket's cage is now permanently shut!
We've also now decided to do away with the firm 'NO!!' & only use it when he's been REALLY REALLY naughty. He absolutely hates the word no & really gets
stuck into you if you say no to him when he's been naughty. So far doing away with the no & just quietly putting him away without a single word or looking at him is working much better. He still has his Little growling protest but no hard bites & really big growls.
He's funny to watch outside now. He's started to bath (on my shoulder) in the breeze LOL Still doesn't like water. I'm spraying Cricket in front of Eddie so he can see what it's all about with bathing.
I cannot believe I have not had one single problem yet with Eddie chewing things he shouldn't be chewing. If it's not his, not a toy or not on us, he will leave it! I think that's fantastic, my house is still in one piece!!
Eddies a real nutter these days. He plays with his feet! & chases his wings, like a dog chasing his tail LMAO He's one very amusing parrot to watch sometimes.
Over the past 2 days Eddie has chucked a big saddie with Dave & spent more time with me instead. Dave's been working really early lately so he hasn't been letting the birds out before he goes to work like he usually does. Well we think that's why Eddie is sulking anyway. He's a very funny boy. He doesn't get agro & get revenge or anything like that. He just chucks big saddies & sulks!!
Pictures to come Smile)))))
Long time since I've written in here!!

Eddie is a WHOPPING 303 grams!!! that's big for Eddie Surprised LOL
Approx 15 months old
I have videos (uploading) of Eddie making all sorts of noises. Vids will take some time to upload so i may get them here by tonight or tomorrow.
He's really good at toying with new sounds, has an awful lot to say all the time!! Lets see if I can remember all the words he knows...
shut up Cricket. Hello. Kim. Eddie. Green guy. Watcha doin. Come on. Crikey. Good boy. Good girl. He meows like my cat (really annoying cos I go to the door to let her in & she's not there! Hoots like an owl, clucks like a chook, chatters to himself like Cricket, yaps like a puppy, makes the sounds of his fav toy. There's lots of other things but I can't remember them right now.
His tail is growing beautifully, he no longer has a stump!!
Today he's been very naughty & hanging off my curtains! Every time I moved them further away he still got to them. In the end I took them down & hid them, boy did cop an ear full from Eddie when I did that!! He growled at me loudly in protest & beat up his bell LMAO as long as it isn't my fingers he beats up I don't care.
He's also taken to screaming. It's taken some time to try & figure out the meaning of all this but we've now come to the conclusion that it's just another new sound & new thing he's learnt & is enjoying the moment. It's never been for long so it hasn't been a problem & he's slowly but surely doing this less each day. We just continually ignore him & if he really persists, we then distract him with his fav toys, always works.
Eddie has always said "shut up Cricket" when ever Cricket screams, so now, occasionally if Eddie makes any unpleasant noise, I say "shut up Eddie" & he does!! He knows exactly what it means so he should understand it.
A lot of what he does that's naughty is usually only to stir us up. We're both learning from this not to bite LOL & to ignore his stirring.
Eddie has a new fav food too. Sprouted wild parrot seeds with fresh chopped chillis, fresh chopped ginger & a spray of lemon or lime juice, or OJ. He's goes crazy over this at brekky.
Will get the vids up when uploaded but I don't know how it will take.

Just to name a few......
Eddie's been to the vet for a beak trim. His beak grew a little long & we found out it was from the seed so seed was completely removed from his diet. He get get some seed as a treat once a month. He no longer tries to take any one elses seed.
His weight is currently 361gr.
At approx 18 months old started to act a little hormonal but it was very mild. Currently he appears to be going through a very heavy moult, maybe his first 'real' moult? Plus his hormones have kicked in big time!! His mood swings are not very nice. He will get a good day & a couple of bad days. This has been going on now for about 2 months. This week his mood swings have noticably reduced. Today Edie is 3 years & 2 weeks old.
